As addiction becomes more rampant on the Northshore, those needing treatment have limited choices. Much of the area’s addiction crisis is among professionals, who typically seek centers sensitive to their needs.
Healthcare entrepreneur and CEO of Passages Hospice, Chris McMahon, now 17 years sober himself, announces Longbranch Recovery Center in Abita Springs, a $10 million luxury facility that will provide inpatient and outpatient treatment, with an emphasis on opioid addiction.
Set to open at the end of 2017, Longbranch will be modeled after McMahon’s own road to recovery, utilizing a proven 12-step model of drug-free, dual diagnosis treatment.
