Equal Pay Day

by
Men and women are unequally paid

This April, Gambel will celebrate its ninth anniversary in the Big Easy, followed shortly by the 22nd annual Equal Pay Day.

Because women earn less, on average, than men, women must work longer to earn the same amount. Initiated by the National Committee on Pay Equity in 1996, Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the new year women must work to “catch up” to the amount men earned in the previous year.

Help us celebrate Gambel’s anniversary on April 10 by wearing red to support pay equality and to symbolize how far women and minorities are “in the red.”
