A family tradition of broadcast

by
Early broadcast contract between Dowdy brothers

Two brothers signed a contract for an imaginary broadcast acquisition more than sixty years ago. Both own broadcasting operations today. The younger brother, Morgan, is based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Wayne Dowdy, the older brother and writer of that contract, became an attorney, served in the U.S. Congress and owns Northshore Media Group.

Brian Shirey manages the media group with two of Dowdy’s children: Charles Dowdy, who hosts a morning show on Lake 94.7 and runs the stations in St. Tammany, and Eloise Cottrell, a senior account representative who handles key accounts for the entire media group.
