My business is “takin’ it down to the dirt.” Bang. Bam. Wham. Sometimes, I need silence to think. So today I took a dirt road.
Poet Carolyn Weaver says it best:
“Dirt roads track the ancient footprints, Laid down in a far distant day, Made first by the animals seeking food, Shelter, water, companions, or play. Man followed for all the same reasons, But widened the path as he went; He trod the dirt into hard pan, Ever moving to get his needs met. A dirt road permits you to see, Whereas a highway makes you fly past.”
Think outside.
