Economic Development Week highlights impact and importance of organizations like JEDCO

This week, JEDCO joins international economic development agencies in raising awareness about how they support their local communities. JEDCO’s strategic approach to economic development creates jobs, investment, and quality of life in Jefferson Parish.

• Small Business Loans: In 2021, JEDCO’s award-winning Finance Department funded over $4 million in projects, 74% of which were minority and/or woman-owned businesses.

• Housing: JEDCO aims to improve housing stock in the area to attract and retain residents. The organization even helped build a model home in Terrytown.

• Education: JEDCO connects businesses and educators to help create a pipeline of career pathways for students and employees.
