Sunday was my first Mother’s Day without my mom. The profound void is still fresh as she died just ten days ago. She and my father were married for 70 years.
My mother modeled for me how amazing it is to live each day to the fullest. She always had a smile and spread contagious joy. There is not a person who knew her who did not love and cherish her. Her capacity for giving was bountiful, welcoming everyone into our home.
She will be missed terribly, but her love for life hopefully will live on in those she touched.
