I love road trips! Traveling through seven states, a Sweet Briar College roommate and I reconnected with seven friends.
New Orleans and the Panhandle led us “north.” Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day parade revealed the city’s joy, even without cabbages. Charleston demonstrated that history is a moment in time; everything subsequent is only narrative. At Pawley’s Island we shared years of memories and blessed a new house in a place we cherish. Greenville provided precious family time, and the Biltmore in Asheville joined us with our “mountain” friend.
Two glorious weeks. Spontaneity. Laughter. Soul-baring. A few tears. Countless memories. Priceless.
