With summer upon us, here are some wellness tips to keep top of mind:

• Make gratitude part of your daily routine. Simply feeling grateful for something can result in feelings of happiness, well-being and peace. Each morning, write down five things that you are grateful for.

• Nature is nurture. Plant a garden, go for a walk in the park or explore new territory and expand it into a hike. Even a stroll around the neighborhood will do you good.

• When out in the sun, make sure to use sunscreen and bug spray to protect your skin in the heat.
