A young Seth Green gave Saints fans something to cheer about

Before his role as Dr. Evil’s son, Scott, in “Austin Powers” movies, actor Seth Green was among the biggest celebrities in New Orleans.

When he starred in an early ‘90s commercial for fast food chain Rally’s, his signature line, “cha-ching!” was adopted by the Saints faithful as the rallying cry for the team’s 1991 season. Beginning in the preseason, clips from the ad were played on the Superdome’s video board, and fans embraced the catchphrase as their own.

In a new article, THNOC recounts the time Green visited New Orleans and enjoyed superstar treatment from legions of “cha-ching”-ing Saints fans.
