‘The Trail They Blazed’: First-hand stories of resistance and persistence

by The 100 Companies

The Historic New Orleans Collection’s newest exhibition, The Trail They Blazed, presents stories of social and racial justice straight from the people who lived them. Through photographs, artifacts and oral histories, the exhibition tells powerful stories of resilience and activism.

The spark for change can come from anywhere – from four brave schoolgirls to networks of college students, faith leaders and community supporters. This is how they did it – in their own words.

Located in the French Quarter, the yearlong exhibition invites visitors to engage with a vital and inspiring part of the city’s history. Admission is free – come visit today!
