I owned an original Barbie, a character focused on modeling until her career diversified, and I gifted my Barbie collection to my granddaughter and nieces in hopes that the ever-evolving icon would inspire them.
Patty Riddlebarger captured Barbie lessons:
• Know who and what made you.
• Find a way or make a way.
• You gotta help her to help yourself.
• You are more capable than you know. Don’t be afraid to go for it.
• Don’t let anyone put you in a box.
• Find your tribe and love them hard.
• Even if you can’t make things perfect, you can make it better.
