Labor Day traditionally marks the end of summer. But with Labor Day falling on Sept. 7 – the latest date possible – I’m declaring this year’s extra week a gift.
I love summer, and I savored every extra day. The benefits?
Long summer evenings.
More time to wear white.
Extended birthday celebrations for my sons on Aug. 29 and 30.
Fewer boats at Cat and Ship Islands.
Summer schedules at the office.
Additional COOLinary menu days.
High hopes of making it through hurricane season.
And fingers crossed for days below 98 degrees!
So, what did an extra week of summer mean to you?
