The New Orleans Department of Health & Human Services recently launched the 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA) to better understand the most pressing health needs facing residents and guide the next Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
Our most recent CHIP resulted in transformative programs (including mental health, families, violence reduction and disaster mitigation, among others), and it’s time to strengthen and expand the work. Residents are encouraged to complete a CHA survey to identify their priorities for health. Diverse voices from across New Orleans are essential to shaping a stronger, healthier future for our city.
