Stop human trafficking campaign

Estimates show there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking globally. One out of seven endangered runaways were likely child sex trafficking victims.

Think this isn’t an issue in NOLA? NOLA.com spent a year investigating sex trafficking across New Orleans and published a series detailing the issues.

February 8 is an International Day of Prayer and Fasting to Stop Human Trafficking and, locally, the Catholic Church is sponsoring a social media fast in solidarity with silenced victims of human trafficking.

You can make a difference and bring awareness to this issue. Go silent with us on February 8.
