On Thursday, March 8, Cokie Roberts, political commentator for NPR and ABC News, will kick off “Making New Orleans Home: A Tricentennial Symposium” at Tulane University’s McAlister Auditorium.
A NOLA native, Roberts has earned three Emmys over her 40-year broadcast career, and she is the author of six New York Times bestsellers including “Ladies of Liberty” (Harper Collins, 2009).
As keynote speaker, Roberts’s address will open four days of talks that explore how people from all over the world have come to New Orleans for three centuries and learned to call it home. Admission to all sessions is free.
