Last year, the number of drug overdose deaths outnumbered the number of murders in greater New Orleans. Every day, men and women addicted to drugs and/or alcohol come to Bridge House/Grace House helpless and broken, seeking a safe place to recover.
Founded 60 years ago, BH/GH is a long-term residential center, relying on community support. Cochon Cotillion, its major fundraiser, will occur April 7, and I’m honored to reign over the mock Mardi Gras ball with my king, Bill Mimeles.
Costume as your favorite New Orleanian as Cochon celebrates the Tricentennial. Let’s ensure BH/GH’s success for the future.
