Alicia Williams, a Mandeville local and leukemia warrior of over four years, is turning her fight into a community celebration. As the 2026 Louisiana Visionary of the Year with Blood Cancer United, she’s hosting the Bayou Derby Bash – a free Kentucky Derby Day fundraiser on May 2 at Pat’s Rest Awhile in Mandeville.
Guests can expect live Derby watching, a hat and fascinator contest, bourbon tastings, silent auction and an Adopt-a-Horse sweepstakes. All proceeds benefit blood cancer patients and families across Louisiana.
