Parading for Nonprofits

by

Mardi Gras krewes are known for many things, but their humanitarian endeavors often go unnoticed. Every year, krewes support and donate to nonprofits and charitable organizations in New Orleans.

Organizations like the Autism Society, St. Bernard Project, Dress for Success New Orleans and Children’s Hospital, along with fraternal groups like police, firefighters and EMS personnel, benefit from krewes’ events and donations throughout the year, giving us another reason to love Carnival and the revelers behind it.

By supporting these programs, sometimes through their own charitable foundations, Carnival organizations allow nonprofits and those whom they serve to participate in Mardi Gras.
