Embrace ‘middlescence’

by

Age is just a number, right? I feel younger, healthier and more self-assured than my years might suggest.

There’s adolescence, Gen X and Y, baby boomers and more. The newest moniker is “middlescence,” referring to “a second adolescence but with wisdom,” according to life coach Barbara Waxman. I can relate! One benefit of maturing is that my actions are not dictated by what others think. I’m confident with the ability to do things I enjoy – including work – and I grab life with gusto, relishing each day.

As a cancer survivor, I know God gives us one life to live.
