New Orleans lost one of its greatest storytellers – Nancy Parker Boyd.
When Nancy wasn’t at the anchor desk at WVUE FOX8 as an award-winning journalist, she was raising three children with her husband of 25 years. Born in Opelika, Alabama, Nancy moved to New Orleans 23 years ago. She loved NOLA, and the entire community loved her back.
Dignitaries, media, family, friends and fans recently gathered to celebrate her life at a memorial service. A common theme throughout the reflections was that Nancy had a way of making everyone feel so special.
The Gambel Girls will truly miss her.
