During December the “elves” at Chalmette Refining were keeping busy hosting a toy and present drive for over 100 children and senior citizens.
Those individuals at the Family ViolenceProgram of St. Bernard, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and kids, families and seniors who registered through the Salvation Army received toys, gifts and clothing from their wish lists.
The drive culminated with a Christmas Party at the Salvation Army’s Center of Hope Shelter in New Orleans on Dec. 21. Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with a few elves, held a pizza party and gave out presents to the residents of the shelter.
