WWL Louisiana earned top honors at the New Orleans Press Club’s 68th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards. Chief Investigative Reporter David Hammer won “Best Investigative Reporting” for coverage of New Orleans’ budget deficit. Anchor Malik Mingo took “Best On-Air Talent.” Anchor Devin Bartolotta won “Best Use of Instagram.” Doug Mouton earned “Best Sportscast” and shared the “Best Talk Show” award with Ross Jackson for “The Ultimate New Orleans Sports Show.”
Producer Torre Josey won “Best Newscast” for the WWL Louisiana 10pm News, and photojournalist Ricknise Riggins took first place for “Best Video Editing” for her CBS Sunday Morning preview segment.
