Physical, Mental & Spiritual Health Are the Focus at BCM

In March 1996, Baptist Community Ministries (BCM) became a private grant-making foundation, or health legacy foundation. Almost 22 years later, BCM remains committed to its faith-based mission of improving the physical, mental and spiritual health of the individuals we serve in our five-parish region.

BCM primarily invests in programs in four areas: Health, Education, Public Safety and Governmental Oversight. Early on, BCM adopted a “value-added” grant-making model and hired a team with broad programmatic expertise to oversee these four zones of interest. Since its inception, BCM has disbursed over $178 million to local area nonprofits.
