BCM serves NOPD officers to grant peace of mind

by
BCM's Chaplains

Baptist Community Ministries (BCM) employs 13 professionally trained chaplains that work in community settings, primarily hospitals and the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).

NOPD police officers often face daily challenges that create high levels of stress and doubt. Four BCM chaplains are assigned to NOPD to provide spiritual support. For more than a decade, BCM chaplains have stood with police officers at crime scenes, in times of loss and crisis, on days marked by violence and anxiety, as well as on occasions of achievement and hope. BCM chaplains also minister to victims of crime and offer comfort to family members.
