Hire unCommon Construction

by

Eighty-one percent of high school dropouts say relevant, real-world learning would have kept them in school; unCommon Construction (uCC) works to provide this experience and a pathway to higher-paying jobs.

uCC is a NOLA-based nonprofit that is changing the face of workforce development, but have you heard of their latest endeavor? New this year, a second apprentice cohort is working across the city to embark on a series of unique and sustainable unCommon build projects labeled “Hire unCommon.”

Whether it’s building a new fence, fixing a porch or engaging your students in hands-on build activities, uCC Apprentices are ready.

This is the newest way uCC is working to provide real-world experience to high school students in an effort to create pathways to success in construction and beyond.

Support uCC’s latest cohort here or sign up to volunteer.
