Delaney Adekunle

Delany Adekunle is an honoree for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy recognizing service by an individual ages 10-23.

Adekunle is a student at Louise S. McGehee School, Class of 2028. When she was a 5th grader, she reached out to the administration at her school and asked if she could organize a school event to collect essential hygiene items for the homeless to be given out on World Homeless Day.

She was able to engage her fellow students and organized a drive that created hundreds of bags of essential items. The bags were collected and provided to various organizations in the city.
