This clever little door is in the university building where I teach about philanthropy.
If you don’t know, the Room of Requirement is in Hogwarts, and it is “always equipped for the seeker’s needs.” A hiding place, a chamber pot …
When I pass it at my non-magical school, I imagine a hungry child opening this door to a warm meal. Or a veteran living with PTSD finding a therapist there.
Now I wonder if what’s really in the room is a philanthropist. How magical is it that there are people among us, always ready to respond to the seeker’s needs?
