Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Highway is taking patient care to the next level by deploying Xenex LightStrike® Germ-Zapping Robots®.

The Xenex robots will improve patient safety and reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections, with studies showing 50-100% decreases in C.diff, MRSA and Surgical Site Infection rates when the robots were used.

Xenex Robots can destroy deadly pathogens and drug-resistant organisms through high-intensity ultraviolet light in under five minutes. Ochsner’s Jefferson Highway campus is using 10 robots to enhance this process in six units of the hospital and plans to add 10 more this year.
