Unearth the mystique at The Historic New Orleans Collection with a new traveling exhibit, “Mystery and Benevolence: Masonic and Odd Fellows Folk Art.” Delving into the golden age of fraternal societies, the exhibition unveils cryptic symbols and mystic carvings, narrating tales of the Freemasons and Odd Fellows.

More than 80 artifacts immerse visitors in an extraordinary journey, inviting them to decode hidden messages. A companion exhibit, “A Mystic Brotherhood: Fraternal Orders of New Orleans,” explores how fraternal organizations in the city helped shape our history, culture and civic life.

Both exhibits are on display through May 10; admission is free.
