Airbnb and VIA LINK partnered as a test case for working with 211 agencies in disaster response. It went so well that Airbnb is planning a nationwide expansion. The partnership provided VIA LINK 211 with 20 homes to house families who lost use of their homes from Hurricane Francine. Once qualified, families were able to choose their home via the Airbnb app. These 30-day stays in a comfortable place while home repairs happen is a significant stress reliever!
And now, VIA LINK has connected our Florida 211 counterparts with Airbnb, who are currently working to house victims of Hurricane Helene.
