WWL-TV icon Sally Ann Roberts is how I woke up every morning; I ate waffles with her cheerful smile alongside my milk, and she always made it easier for me to finish the whole glass.
Last week marked her last at the station. Everyone, from Congressman Scalise and Gov. Edwards to co-hosts Sheba Turk and Eric Paulsen, wished her the best, as I do now.
NOLA.com reported Sally Ann’s last words, which were, of course, perfect: “I love you all. I’ll pray for you all. The best is yet to come … the best is yet to come.”
