Bluebird Park in Chalmette is sure to please every member of your family. The park is now entirely wheelchair accessible and features a roller slide, wheel-thru arcade, sensory play center and specialty swings. There is also a picnic area, off-street parking and handicapped restroom.
Chalmette Refining helped the project by donating $150,000 for recycled benches, fencing, energy-saving lighting and landscaping. St. Bernard Parish’s Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee also gave guidance in the planning process.
The park is designed for all children to be able to play together and speaks to St. Bernard’s mission of getting to know neighbors.
