VIA LINK has a program called Preventing Child Abuse Louisiana, with a mission to provide 24/7 emotional support for families, connection to parenting resources, advocacy for children and families and education for those who care for Louisiana’s children.
The Louisiana Parent Line provides parents with free, confidential, 24/7 access to a live specialist. We give parents a safe space to express frustrations, ask parenting questions and get support. Our specialists offer emotional support, de-escalation, crisis intervention, information and referral, and coping strategies. Follow-up calls are offered to increase the circle of support.
