There is nothing like a traditional beignet with a hot café au lait. For decades New Orleanians have been enjoying these simple masterpieces with nothing more than a (heavy) dusting of powdered sugar on top.
But do you know that beignets are the perfect vessel for delivering all your favorite New Orleans goodies? From crawfish, to mac ‘n cheese, to praline truffle, we got dat. And if you haven’t “beignet done that” before, don’t worry.
Beignet Fest takes place this Saturday, Oct. 6, in City Park from 10am to 6pm, so you can try them for yourself. See you there!
