The Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association secured 90 rooms for state police and over 200 rooms for external law enforcement who’ll be supporting NOPD during Mardi Gras.
Law enforcement will utilize the rooms for several days of the Mardi Gras season. For example, state troopers and external law enforcement will work the second week of Mardi Gras for seven days straight and three to four days for the first weekend. These rooms offered by hotels are well below market price.
We’ll provide hot meals (lunch and dinner) to the 8th District Police Department over both weekends of Mardi Gras.
