Jefferson Performing Arts will present two shows in February, continuing its dynamic 47th season on the Westbank and Eastbank of Jefferson Parish.
“True West” opens at Westwego Performing Arts Theatre on Feb. 6 and runs through Feb. 16. This intense four-person play explores the rivalry between two brothers – Austin, a buttoned-up screenwriter, and Lee, a volatile drifter. The 1980 drama catapulted Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Sam Shepard onto the mainstream American stage.
This production will be followed by Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Nile” at Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie, opening on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. Information is available at jpas.org.
