WWL-TV’s newest nightly anchor, Charisse Gibson, is back in the Big Easy.
Charisse Gibson, WWL-TV’s newest anchor and reporter, is an Emmy-nominated journalist who was born and raised in New Orleans. She joins Karen Swensen at the anchor desk at 6 p.m. and Katie Moore at 5 and 10 p.m. weeknights.
Gibson, a graduate of Warren Easton and Southern University, began her television career at WWL-TV as a desk assistant. She later worked as a producer at Biloxi’s WLOX-TV, then as morning news anchor at KSLA in Shreveport.
She comes to WWL-TV from Cincinnati where she’s spent the past several years as morning co-anchor.
