Rebuilding the wetlands that protect Louisiana

by The 100 Companies

In less than a century, more than 2,000 square miles of the state have simply vanished.

The wetlands, which stand between New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico, are disappearing at an alarming rate – chipping away at our fisheries, our industries, our community and our culture.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana helps shape science-based policy, trains future coastal leaders, informs and educates residents, partners with other organizations and businesses, undertakes on-the-ground restoration projects and hosts the biennial State of the Coast conference.

Together, we can collectively help restore Louisiana’s wetlands and save our coastal communities for future generations.

– James Karst, The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana
