My first career was teaching – a passion I have even today as a business owner. And I am touched when former students tell me what a difference I made.

Yet a teacher’s compensation is far from commensurate with the responsibilities, challenges and even opportunities of the profession. Many are unable to maintain their vocation because of noncompetitive salaries, causing districts to lose the best of the best.
