One of the most important privileges we have as United States citizens is voting. Whether in a red, blue or “swing” state, every vote counts. The campaign rhetoric leading to today has been fraught with misinformation and disinformation, making fact checking imperative.
Misinformation is inaccurate information – incorrect facts. Disinformation is false information deliberately intended to mislead – intentionally misstating the facts. Spreading misinformation and disinformation has affected our ability to make educated choices; thus, threatening the stability of our democracy.
Without prejudice, inform your decision by gleaning information from a variety of sources. As you cast your vote, gauge your barometer.
