Isidore Newman School recently received the largest gift in its history, $3 million from Drs. Rupa and Tarun Jolly, parents of four Newman students. A health care entrepreneur and former teacher, TJ is a first-generation New Orleanian, son of immigrants and alumnus of public schools.
TJ credits his family for instilling in him a love – even an obligation – of giving back in whatever form, be it time, talent or treasure. The Rupa and Tarun Jolly Science Center aligns with the couple’s passion for STEM education, hoping the number of Newman graduates who choose careers in STEM will grow exponentially.
