J. Wayne Leonard, Entergy Make Surprise Million-Dollar Contributions to United Way of Southeast Louisiana

This month, United Way of Southeast Louisiana welcomed J. Wayne Leonard, the distinguished recipient of the 2017 Tocqueville Society Award and former Entergy Corporation Chairman and CEO, as the sixth member of its Million-Dollar Roundtable following his surprise $1 million gift to United Way.

Accompanying Leonard’s announcement, Entergy Corporation contributed an additional $1 million dollars to United Way in honor of Leonard and UWSELA’s shared mission of eradicating poverty in Southeast Louisiana.

Leonard’s and Entergy Corporation’s gifts demonstrated a tremendous endorsement of United Way’s work and an extraordinary commitment to individuals and families in need here in Southeast Louisiana.
