Shopping local is a priority for many New Orleanians. Plush Appeal – The Mardi Gras Spot is a second-generation, family-owned business located in the heart of Mid-City. Started by Daryl Fletchinger in 1989, Plush Appeal now designs and manufactures over 10,000 products for parades around the world.
The business was born out of necessity, when Daryl identified the lack of variety in prizes offered in a popular arcade game featuring the electronic claw. Years later, Daryl runs Plush Appeal with assistance from his daughter, Vice President Alyssa Fletchinger, and his son, Clark, who handles production and sales.
