Mayor LaToya Cantrell addressed a crowd of over 700 at the New Orleans Chamber’s First Quarter Luncheon on Valentine’s Day, claiming certainty of a bright future for the city.

Cantrell highlighted New Orleans’ ranking on top in terms of young entrepreneurs, growth of various industries including technology and health care, women in the tech industry, and travel and leisure. She sees the renovations to the airport as one of the most promising investments of the present.

Cantrell was followed by Council President Jason Williams, who spoke about taking advantage of New Orleans as a “smart city” and early childhood resources.
