When The New Orleans 100 was first conceived over six years ago, WWL-TV became its first presenting sponsor. Back then, sponsored content was becoming more popular and General Manager Tod Smith recognized that being associated with The New Orleans 100 was a complementary way to introduce both the new faces and initiatives of the station.
It was a win-win arrangement, with WWL-TV telling “the story behind the story” of the station – its reporters, features, sports, weather, advertisers and sponsorships – while dedicating regular segments about The New Orleans 100’s newsletters on Great Day Louisiana.
