New Orleans BioInnovation Center brings biotech ventures to life

by The 100 Companies

Entrepreneurship, inspiration, commercialization and investment all characterize the work done at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center (NOBIC) – the only private wet-lab business incubator in Louisiana. Innovators come to NOBIC to bring their biotech ventures to life and participate in the close-knit community.

NOBIC and their partners have one shared interest: improving health outcomes and fostering sustainable economic development through biotechnology innovation.

Since opening the LEED gold-certified building in 2012, NOBIC has supported over 400 companies and created over 1000 high-wage jobs in pursuit of this goal. Its portfolio companies have raised over $250 million in grant funding and venture capital.
