With the trifecta of Taylor Swift, Super Bowl LIX, and Mardi Gras, New Orleans is “in the zone” for the future. Thus was the theme of GNO, Inc.’s annual luncheon. In only nine months, President Michael Hecht led the Super Bowl infrastructure committee, resulting in 550 projects.
Board Chair Chris Kane highlighted other state superlatives:
• Louisiana led the nation in crime reduction.
• Louisiana advanced from 49 to 32 in education ranking in Nation’s Report Card.
• Louisiana jumped 14 spots in competitiveness ranking because of tax reform.
• LED won Platinum Deal of the Year for Meta’s $10B AI Data Center.
