Chalmette Refining with Tri-Parish Works and NOLA Youth Works Summer Employment Program donated $40,000 ($20,000 per program) to fund meaningful employment and educational experiences for youth in St. Bernard and Algiers.

Over the span of 24 years in St. Bernard Parish, the program has employed 570 students to work in office jobs for local schools, government and nonprofits with a total investment of $1,280,000. The program just finished its third year in Algiers.

The goals of this project are to prepare young people for the workforce, encourage further education and learning and instill leadership skills.
