Reclaimed wood for the ages

by The 100 Companies

Antique Heart Pine is a 300-year-old lumber used heavily in construction prior to the 1920s. Today, it’s rare and hard to source – unless it comes straight from a demolition.

In the wake of Katrina, Demo Diva preserved joists and beams from demolition projects and sold the reclaimed wood to a small local mill. An opportunity arose years later for the company to buy that existing mill, and in 2015 Demo Diva launched its sister company, Reclaimed Diva Millworks.

Today, the boutique mill repurposes and manufactures custom-sized heart pine floors, beams, mantles and more for the New Orleans market and beyond.
