Sweet reunion for a son and his birth mother

Thirty-five years ago, a 16-year-old mother named Chauntel, who was facing an unplanned pregnancy, made the selfless decision to give life to her little boy, Jacob, and place him for adoption. They never knew each other’s names and they only corresponded anonymously through an attorney for the first few years of Jacob’s life.

Then, in August 2023 – after a 16-year search for his birth mother – Jacob found Chauntel online with the help of a search angel and genetic testing. The mother and son finally reunited Sept. 1, and it was the answer to decades of prayer for both of them.
